Listen, i enjoy a good deal as much as the next person, but really, boxing day?
Here we have a holiday dedicated to making people spend tons of money on presents (because lets face it, it's no longer a christian holiday) and then the very next day you go to the mall and spend even more on yourself.
It's not enough to get presents from friends and family, you've got to buy all the things you didn't get. Boxing day is a testament to human greediness.

Maybe it's because i'm working, but if i wasn't, i can promise you i wouldn't go to the mall today if you payed me.

well, im in calgary now. super nice hotel, i'll upload pictures later.
i'm so mad though. i needed to get a friends number off of facebook so that we can hang out, and had to connect to the hotels internet, and it's LUDACRISLY EXPENSIVE. so now i'm making the most out of my internet experience and posting a useless blog.

i'm going to go out for supper tonight, hopefully somewhere nice, but it's so cold here! it's 0 outside right now.

calgary is the worst, but i'm so happy to not be in winnipeg...


UPDATE: now that i've eaten some yummy food and had a good supper in an amazing restaurant i'm feeling a lot better about life. i have training tomorrow at 8:30 until 5, then shopping, then some sweet supper in said restaurant!

so after thinking about it for awhile, i've come to the conclusion that i shouldn't be here right now. i'm leaving for calgary in about 2 and a half weeks..but that sucks in a way because calgary sucks, and it's only for a week. but i really need to just go somewhere else. experience life somewhere else. utilize the years of french that i've learnt and just go to paris. so that's what i'm going to do. i'm trying to find what sort of prices i'll be paying to fly out there, but it really doesn't matter. i'll go stay with andrew, ryan, sheen and brandice.

i know that these have been out for awhile, but i just really like them.

at 2 am this morning my grandmother died.
when i was a kid, she used to come out to the cottage with my dad and i for 2 weeks straight. we would just hang out for 14 days straight. we would make food together, relaxe together, play card games together, i drew a lot when she knit. about 5 years ago she stopped comming out because of her health. then 2 years ago my mom and i went out to visit her in guelph ontario. i haven't seen her since and i feel like shit. i didn't get a chance to say goodbye or anything. she was a wonderful woman and i hope she's somewhere happy.

i'm really bad for procrastinating. i know i should be working harder on my art, but i just keep screwing around. i need to set myself a serious schedule to work on projects and complete things.
like homework or something, i need someone to give me serious shit if i don't work on things.
i drew tonight though for a while so i'm stoked on that.
oh, and adam found a recording of the radiohead show in montreal that we were at and it's amazing! i listened to it tonight and it was so sweet, except for the guy recording it had a silly yell.

tarik and i went to a restaurant named "eggspectations" in the morning on saturday and i had really good eggs benedict. then my camera died.

after getting new batteries, we shopped around and got some sweet starbucks


and then we had the hairbrained idea to take a metro way out to nowhere, to find a really good bagle shop. we got lost a couple times but the bagels were pretty good
